Welcome to Love Arts Festival The 7th annual celebration of creativity and mental wellbeing in Leeds.

JOURNEYS is the theme this year, explored in Love Arts’ creative style: illustrating Leeds taxi drivers’ stories in portraits and words with ‘Talk To Your Taxi Driver’;  bringing to life emotional journeys in drama like ‘The Life & Soul’; and inviting you to explore your own journeys of discovery in tantalising pop-up events such as ‘Love Arts Pop-Up’ .

Another favourite ingredient in the Festival mix is the wealth of brilliant visual art exhibitions. Our Venue Map highlights the exhibition venues that are within easy walking distance of each other in the city centre. You can take your own journey on a trail that showcases the wealth of hidden talent in around 100 emerging Leeds-based artists, who are showing work at 15 bars, cafes, and shopping centres. You can also find plenty of exciting performances and creative workshops to get your teeth into. Some of these events are organised by the Love Arts team, and others are run or hosted by our partners. We’ve all come together under the Love Arts umbrella to create the Festival.

This year you can:

SEE IT Exhibitions of visual art

WATCH IT Performances of dance, film, theatre and more

DO IT Workshops, discussions, creative opportunities for everyone

We’re very grateful for the support and enthusiasm of our many funders, partners, and supporters, without whom this Festival couldn’t happen. BIG thanks to all of you.

Love Arts Patron, Rob Young* says, “This Festival is about the human, not the condition, because let’s face it, that’s not what defines us. And it’s fun! It makes you look at this city with a fresh pair of eyes: THINK Leeds with a sprinkle of glitter. SO why not join us on the journey? To a world of wonder, where caravans and buses morph into theatres and it’s not just toast that pops up in a cafe. It’s a story AND a good one at that. Love Arts? Love Leeds? What’s not to like?”
