Our big theme for 2016 is “I AM’. We’ll be exploring identity in our trademark fun and creative way. Love Arts asks what ‘I am’ means to you, and maybe even helps you to find the answer.
Love Arts Festival aims to get people thinking and talking about mental health and to reduce the related stigma so many people experience. We hope that it helps you to think about mental well-being in fresh and new ways.
This year sees the Love Arts Conversation return to the festival’s centre-stage, after its debut in 2014. This festival-flavoured conference will get you exploring mental health and creativity. Again, our theme is “I AM…” Whether you’re new to the notion of creativity or a veteran, there’s something for everyone.
Also in the festival mix is a large visual arts strand. The 19 exhibitions showcase the wealth of hidden talent amongst members of Arts and Minds and in Leeds communities. The shows are at different venues, ranging from museums and arts-centres to bars and cafes. Whichever exhibition you choose, come and SEE IT! Alongside this we’ll have the usual variety of performances and workshops that will give you the chance to WATCH IT! and DO IT! Some of these events are run by Love Arts Festival, others are organised by our partners. But we all come under the Love Arts umbrella.
We would like to take the time to say thank you to all who support us. Love Arts Festival would not exist without the backing and enthusiasm of its many partners and visitors, so a huge thanks to all of you.
Please explore the site to find an event that suits you, or download the full programme as a pdf.
We look forward to welcoming you to one or more of our events!
